Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies News and Admissions 2008
The AP Government has established Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies in 2008 to cater to the educational needs of the gifted rural youth. Three fully residential IIITs are established under RGU: one in Basara in Adilabad district, one in Nuzivedu in Krishna district, and one in Rajiv Knowledge Valley in Kadapa district. These Institutes will specialize in teaching and research in Information Technology and other emerging disciplines. 2000 students are expected be admitted in each IIIT in 2008-09 academic year.
The University is pleased to announce that 6000 students have been selected for admission in August 2008 including 5100 students selected from rural mandals and 900 selected on a State-Wide merit basis.
